What Is a High Shine Pomade?

A High Shine pomade gives the polished, reflective finish of the classic barbershop slick. Traditionally that shine came from heavy grease that took a degreasing wash to remove. REUZEL Red Pomade delivers it from a water soluble base with Medium Hold, so the finish is classic and the wash out takes water and regular shampoo.

Red Pomade vs Blue Pomade

Both are water soluble and both finish High Shine, so the choice is hold. Red is Medium Hold, the everyday option that combs in easily and reworks through the day. Blue is Strong Hold, built for slick backs on thick or textured hair and for styles that must not move. Same shine, different grip.

Styles That Suit a High Shine Finish

High Shine reads best on styles with a clean line: the side part, the slick back and the classic pompadour. On textured or deliberately messy cuts, a Matte Finish serves the look better. Within the range, the finish ladder runs from Clay Matte at fully matte through Fiber at Low Shine up to Red and Blue at High Shine.
